Dear Parents/ carers.

Following our recent closure, we are delighted to let you know that we will once again be opening our doors on Monday 8th June for all our nursery and pre-school children. These spaces will be chargeable as normal.
Also Breakfast and after school club for Reception, Year1, Year6 and children of key workers who are attending school, this will apply for children from Gorse Hall, St Peters, Stalyhill and Trinity. Subject to each individual schools opening these spaces will be chargeable as normal.
Once the government expand the opening of schools we will be once again offering our services. At this point all fees will be reintroduced.
We have made many changes to the way we operate, and this will require some help from yourselves. We have introduced social distancing for when you drop off and pick up your children from Nursery/Breakfast and afterschool club.
This letter will come to you alongside NEW terms and conditions which need to be signed and sent back before 8th June. You will be contacted regarding fees and new spreadsheets.

NURSERY PARENTS;

  • ON ENTERING WITH YOUR CHILD: please use the path and press the access panel, we have 2 metre markers outside so please be patient, when you get to the door we ask that you do not enter the building, a member of staff will be there to welcome your child in. Then please leave through the car park, taking care of moving vehicles. We ask that you do not take any children through the car park.
  • HAND WASHING: Each child will wash hands on entering the building and then more frequently during the day
    • WHEN PICKING UP YOUR CHILD: Please enter through the car park and knock on the door, we will then bring your child to you, all communication about your child’s day will be given on Daily connect and not verbally, Please then leave down the path so no child is in the car park.
  • TEMPERATURE AND ILLNESS MONITORING: Each morning we will ask parents a short health questionnaire about their child, we will also take your child’s temperature with new Thermoscan thermometers, these are designed so they do not touch the child. They give readings on a traffic light scale, where Green is normal body temperature. Amber is an alert and Red is a very high temperature. Based on this any child with a reading of Amber or Red or a child showing any symptoms will not be allowed to attend. Please refer to our new terms and conditions about charges for this.
  • DUMMIES: If your child uses a dummy for comfort please can we ask that all dummies are on dummy clips, this will ensure that children only have access to their own comforter.
  • WATER BOTTLES: If you could please provide your child with one recognisable water bottle or Sippy cup, we will be marking the bottle with your child’s name and it must be taken home at the end of each day, washed and brought back in for their next session.
  • FORMULA: If your child is on formula during the day please can you bring in the correct amount of bottles for each feed, we will make feeds up as usual in a hygienic manner and then put the bottles back in the child’s bag to be sent home and washed ready for the next day.
  • COMFORTERS: If your child uses a comforter, we would ask you to encourage them to attend nursery without it during this unprecedented time.
  • PLAY: Unfortunately, we are having to make changes to the way we use equipment. This means that for the time being we will not be offering Malleable play to children, so no sand, water, playdough, moon sand etc. We will be offering specific toys for play throughout the day, these will then be washed after use. Any toys that cannot be washed on a daily basis like soft bodied dolls will be for the time being put away. All children will have their own stationary in a pencil case.
  • SYMPTONS: If at any point during the day your child shows any symptoms or develops an Amber or Red temperature you will be contacted and your child MUST be collected within the hour, your child will be removed from their room and placed with one single member of staff who will be wearing P.P.E.
  • SICKNESS & DIARRHOEA: If your child has any sickness or diarrhoea, they must stay away from nursery for 48hr from last episode.
  • COVID 19 SYMPTONS: If your child or anyone in your household shows symptoms of Covid-19 please follow government guidelines.
  • PAYMENT: We will no longer be taking payment by cash or card to minimize contact, we encourage all parents to pay via the bank.

  • OPENING & CLOSING TIMES: We will no longer be offering the early open and late closes of 7.00a.m and 6.30p.m. We will be reverting to our normal times 7.30-6.00 Monday-Friday

BREAKFAST & AFTERSCHOOL CLUB PARENTS:

  • HAND CLEANING: Staff will take the children to school as usual they will take hand sanitizer with them and encourage each child to use this before entering through the school gate. When we collect the children from school we will once again encourage each child to sanitize their hands before leaving school.
  • SYMPTONS: If at any point during the day your child shows any symptoms or develops an Amber or Red temperature you will be contacted and your child MUST be collected within the hour, your child will be removed from their room and placed with one single member of staff who will be wearing P.P.E.

  • CLEANING: The setting has had a deep clean prior to opening, this will be a priority at all times during the day to ensure a clean and hygienic setting.
  • ONE PARENT: Please can we ask that only one parent drops off and collects their child, this will help with social distancing.
  • FACE COVERINGS: We do have on offer to buy fabric face coverings which are washable and available in 2 sizes, Adult (£5.00) & child (£3.00) the cost of these is to cover materials. Please ask a member of staff who will then put your order in.
